Chocolate Chip Butter Cookies 


1 C. butter (no substitutes)
1/2 t. vanilla
2 C. flour
1 C. powdered sugar
1 C. (6 oz.) miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Melt butter in a microwave over or double butter; stir in vanilla, allow to cool completely. In a large bowl, combine flour & sugar; stir in butter mixture & chips (mixture will be crumbly). Shape into 1" balls, place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Cool on wire racks. Yield: about 4 dozen.
