Coconut Biscuits


2 cups flour

2 Tbsp. sugar

1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine

1 cup milk

1 cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut, toasted

HEAT oven to 450°F.

MIX flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk and coconut until soft dough forms. Drop dough by scant 1/4 cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

BAKE 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.

How To: Toast Coconut: Thinly spread coconut in shallow baking pan. Bake at 350°F for 7 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned.
