Magic Cookie Bars
(yes, those yummy ones!)


½ C. (1 stick) butter or margarine
1-1/2 C. graham cracker crumbs
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 C. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-1/3 C. (3-1/2 oz.) flaked coconut
1 C. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350º (325º for a glass dish). In a 13x9" baking pan, melt the butter in the oven. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over the butter; pour condensed milk over crumbs. Top with remaining ingredients; press down firmly with a fork. Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool; cut into bars. Store loosely covered at room temperature. Yield: 24-36 bars.

Variations:

1>Substitute 1 C. (6 oz.) peanut butter chips for the coconut & nuts in the above recipe. Bake as above directions.

2> Use 1 C. chocolate chips, 1 C. chopped nuts and 1 C. mini-marshmallows. Bake the recipe with chocolate & nuts for 25 minutes, add the marshmallows & press down. Bake for 2 minutes more.
