Welcome to my Summer Backyard-

The early Summer pond, with the water irises, cattails & wild roses all in bloom. See that window on the back of the house? Wanna guess how much time we spend sitting at that table? LOTS!

A close-up of the wild rose. They are SO fragrant, and delicate! They ended up by the pond because I transplanted a hosta from another part of the yard, and must have gotten a tiny bit of the rose root. It was serendipity, I tell you- they LOVE it there!

My biggest Hosta- Sum & Substance. Those leaves are way huge, as you can well see.

Just a pleasing view, looking from under the elm tree toward the back corner of the yard

ONE hollyhock plant....MANY flower colors! I count at least 5.....

The new bed behind the garage. Grass had a booger of a time growing there anyways, and I was feeling a need for some new types of Hosta- this bed brings me up to over 50 different ones! I'll take another pic of it in 2005, so we can all see how much difference one year makes.

Well, on to some more summer adventures--this way
