The Yard, 2004- A Virtual Tour

I'm going to take you on a tour!! There's a hand-drawn map of the layout first, so you can try to orient yourself with the photos. So, Welcome to my yard..... 

To begin your 2004 tour, I'd like to show you the show I see out my back kitchen window-

When we moved into this house in 1995, the feeder to the left was in place. It's a little chair with a flip-top desk~ The squirrels sit in the chair & hold the desk lid open with their heads! I've added a couple more feeders, and the trays underneath catch most of what they drop. Squirrels are so entertaining- I get hours of giggles watching them play in the tree.

I just love the look of newly-opening ferns.....This clump looks like a small crowd of people, telling secrets.... I've started many, many ferns since we've lived in this house.
